Pagudpud is from the word “PAH GOOD POOD” is an enormous place to visit in Ilocos Norte. Pagudpud is a wide and beautiful town on the Northwest tip of Ilocos Norte, Luzon, bounded to the south by the town of Bangui and to the east by the Cordillera Mountain Range, the town of Adams and the province of Cagayan. The South China Sea lies to the west and North pure white sands were you can locale the one of the most beautiful resort in the Philippines and they considered as the Boracay of the North.

Pagudpud Beach is 2 hours North of Laoag City, has powder-white sand, but it's hard to tell which is bluer: the sky or the sea. While you are making up your mind, you might also consider a stop in Pasuquin, where the famous biscocho (Ilocos biscuit) is a favorite take-home delicacy for local visitors. But don't forget to check your watch, for while you play in the waters of Pagudpud, you may not notice how much time you have spent on these delightful shores, which are at the very tip of Luzon Island.

Because there are beautiful beach and there peaceful atmosphere. When you feel irritated you have only to bath your body in the water.

If you are very tired from your job or other something. I recommend going Pagupud where you can take a rest, enjoy water and eat various delicious foods. Although it is very muggy and hot but it’s all worth it because of the beautiful background.

            Foods are everywhere.  People of Ilocos region are known to be engaged in farming as well as fishing because of their geographic location. Because they are having large number of migrating population, there is no doubt that Ilocano foods spread throughout the Philippine archipelago and the world.

 Usually, Ilocanos eat foods cooked with salted fish (bagoong), fresh sea foods and steamed vegetables.  For those of you who are not that much familiar but are interested to try their foods, you can check out these must try Ilocano Foods!

Denengdeng na labong at saluyot is a native Ilocano dish from Ilocos. It is simple and easy yet healthy vegetable dish consisting of bamboo shoots, jute leaves, bagoong isda boiled until tender.

1.      Jelly seaweed salad or kinilaw na pokpoklo is another Filipino delicacy in Northern region. Jelly seaweed AKA (also known as) pokpoklo is another type of seaweed that normally eaten raw and toss with onions and tomatoes

2.      “tilapia sinigang” . Sinigang is the Filipino sour soup or stew. Usually, tamarind is used to come up with that distinct sourness, although some other fruits such as guava, calamansi or kamias (Averrhoa bilimbi) may also be used.

3.      Ilocanos’ pinakbet. The local garlic is wonderful, also the local vinegar called sukang iluko is renowned and some compared with really good quality Balsamic vinegar.

4.       The Ihaw (grill) part is not a very hard thing to do but when the fishes and sea food came together with the side dishes which were grilled eggplant (torta) and green mangoes with tomatoes and fresh spring onions with a bit of fish sauce, my, my, it is one mouth-watering dish!

5.       Banana flower (or heart, we call it “puso ng saging”) and sweet potato leaves salad. This one is not a mystery either. Just boil the leaves and add minced ginger and tomatoes in fish sauce. The banana flowers and potato leaves were boiled separately though. The usually rub salt to the banana flowers before boiling to remove some bitterness that come from its juice and then you have to squeeze the flowers after boiling too.

6.      Pinapaitan is one among of Ilokanos favourite dish! It is all innards from beef, frozen bile which is also from beef. Bile is the liquid from gall bladder which gives this bitter taste of  pinpaitan.

7.      Takway is a sort of roots of Gabi (Taro). Not only the Ilongos but also the Ilocanos. In Iloilo they use to cook it in combinaton of coconut milk. But in Ilocos region in combination of anchovy sauce or Bagoong. This dish is not often popular for Ilokanos but there are some that they appreciate the dish.

8.      Jerk tuna with Vegetables was today’s lunch at home. Ilokanos usually cooks this kind of dish when they have visitors from other places.

9.      Imbaliktad and Dinakdakan are also on the top list of the most favorite dishes of Ilocanos because of its delicious taste. These can also be good “pulutan.”

El Nido: El Nido is one of the nicest place in the island Philippine. There is simple living, enormous landscape & seascapes with hospitable people. Around 1:15 hr ride on a 19 seater plane, half an hour land travel to El Nido town. You can't compare the beauty of El Nido to, it's different. It is somewhat similar to the virgin islands of Camiguin you’ll need to ride a boat and wander the islands of El Nido! It is really a wonderful and magnificent and you will love the sea foods! It's very fresh!

Siargao Island: Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte. It has a land area of approximately 437 square kilometers. The east coast is relatively straight with one deep inlet, Port Pilar. The coastline is marked by a succession of reefs, small points and white, sandy beaches. The neighboring islands and islets have similar landforms.

Boracay: Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak in the municipality of Malay, in Aklan Province. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.

Bohol: Bohol is a first income class island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region, consisting of the island itself and 75 minor surrounding islands.Its capital is Tagbilaran City. With a land area of 4,821 square kilometres (1,861 sq mi) and a coastline 261 kilometres (162 mi) long, Bohol is the tenth largest island of the Philippines.To the west of Bohol is Cebu, to the northeast is the island of Leyte and to the south, across the Bohol Sea is Mindanao.

The province is a popular tourist destination with its beaches and resorts. The Chocolate Hills, numerous mounds of limestone formations, are the most popular attraction. The formations can be seen by land (climbing the highest point) or by air via ultralight airplane tours. Siquijor: Tagalog pronunciation: “sikiˈhor”, Cebuano: Lalawigan sa Siquijor, Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Siquijor is an island province of the Philippines located in the Central Visayas region. Its capital is the municipality also named Siquijor. To the northwest of Siquijor are Cebu and Negros, to the northeast is Bohol and to the south, across the Bohol Sea, is the island of Mindanao.

Siquijor is the third smallest province in the country, in terms of population as well as land area (after Camiguin and Batanes).
